BREAK THE CHAIN

Break the chain of violence. This is the theme of an information campaign aimed at teenagers.

The information campaign consists of a video programme and a CD.

The video ‘Break the Chain’ is about a boy who sees his mother being beaten and himself nearly becomes violent towards his girlfriend.
The video is structured as a music video featuring the music of Da-Jab feat. K-Lyle.

On the CD you can hear interviews with two children, who have been exposed to violence in their families. They talk about their fear, sorrow and concern, and about what they have done to carry on with their lives.

IT HURTS WHEN DAD BEATS MUM
A children’s book has also been written for younger children and can be ordered here.

In the book, which is called ‘It hurts when Dad beats Mum’ - children talk about the violence in their families, their feelings and the thoughts they struggle with.
